Understanding Opportunities and Barriers to
Civic Engagement Among Youth of Color in California
In collaboration with the Irvine Foundation, Flourish Agenda conducted a research project focused on deepening the Foundation’s learning about barriers and opportunities for civic engagement among California’s youth of color. The 12-month research and documentation project explored the opportunities and barriers to civic engagement among youth of color in the Inland Empire region of the state. Using existing data sets, and interviews with key stakeholders in the region the project aimed to identify both the barriers and opportunities to civic engagement among young people of color within the region.
